BIO

Football and writing, the two passions of the ex-footballer and manager José Mel Pérez, better known as Pepe Mel, a particular Madrilenian.

When he was just 11 years old, Real Madrid gave him the opportunity to begin his career in football. In 1983, his dream of making his professional debut came true playing for Castilla C.F. As a manager, he especially stood out while training Real Betis Balompié, when he carried the team to the first division two different times. In 2013 he placed the green and white team among the best of Europe after many average seasons.
